I was told by the police they do this because the Apple employees get spit on and harassed and that now justifies them calling the police every time. She then 'felt' like I was being rude and called the mall cops on me to justify her feelings. I'm grateful I decided to go back to the store to check in or they would've closed and I wouldn't have been seen at all. Their fake kindness is not a replacement for thoughtful communication with a customer. If the first rep had gotten her nose out of the iPad they have to log everything into and given any thought to my situation I could have saved hours. Never got one so I went back an hour later just to check how far along I was in the waiting process only to get told it was too late to have a repair done to the phone. I was supposed to get a text when they were ready for me. I asked if I could wait in apple store oakbrook store and she said they prefer people not wait inside, so I felt obligated to leave.
Overall from what I saw and heard the Apple store associates here are cool, friendly, and helpful. I was there for less then an hour and he fixed the issue fairly quick. I didn't get the associate name who helped me but he was so patient. I went back to the Apple store, checked in with the associate and I waited for about 15 minutes or so. Anyway while I waited at Barnes and Noble I got a text an hour ahead of time so I was relieved. Meanwhile I waited I hit the mall did some shopping. I wasn't surprised I knew what I was in for a long wait. The dude at the entrance greeted me and led me to the associate who I could make an appointment with. So I gave it a shot did a walk in appointment. I was told the Apple store in Oak Brook was better as far as customer service.

Thank you Christina for helping me weight the plus and minus items of the watch. I really didn't look around much more of the store, but I will say the Apple Stores are always clean and everyone is helpful. We talked for 10 minutes or so about the pluses and minuses of the iWatch, at which point I bought two, one for me and one for a friend. I again said I was just looking, but explained what I wanted after she asked. Then Christina walked over and asked if I needed help. I walked in because I had a long break from work. I have only been wearing automatic type watches for the last 10 years or so, but I haven't been wearing one at all in the last couple of years.
So I have been looking at the new iWatch 4 since it was announced. Overall, the apple store is like any other store in any other city. Apple needs to give the people apple pagers to have them come back to the store rather than stand around inside. I was trying to look at some new apple devices and have to fight my way to test and play with them. Literally on the weekends, there are over 100 people in that small store waiting for their names to be called.

I've worked on this problem with Apple genius staff before, but Tanya was dedicated to getting the job done and saving me a trip to the Apple Store. She patiently took me through a tedious process of recovering my email account for my iPad. This afternoon I had the good fortune to talk with Tanya, if I have her name right, a member of Apple-Oak Brook's Genius staff.
